What can a 20 year old Iranian teach you?
Can love really be a bridge between you and everyone else? Can it reconnect people? Does it have the power to change emotions and events?
In thinking of Rumi and the importance of love as a bridge, I came across a stunningly simple short video. It illustrates that love transcends all languages. I thought I needed a translation.
Turns out I didn’t.
This film was made by an Iranian filmmaker who is only 20 years old. He won an award at the Luxor Film Festival at the beginning 2020. As the film illustrates, a simple gesture of thoughtfulness can diffuse a situation. I love that.
It’s a message that life is too short to get all riled up about the little things. If you have a friend or family member who reminds you to be grateful, this is true wealth.
All it takes is a bit of mindfulness and love.
