I love this advice. I especially enjoyed reading your descriptive word list. You are so right. While writing, I often think about similes and how some writers use them well (albeit sparingly) to add depth. But this article has highlighted the importance of a word swap. Choosing a new descriptive word can give the reader a brand new experience and that’s super helpful.
