Feeling Anxious? Write Yourself Better!
When you’re feeling anxious during Lockdown, write things down to get through. You may find your perspective of life and the ‘new normal’ will change.
Words have power. Words can change the world. Sometimes words are all we need to make a difference.
Blood chemistry can be altered. Lives can be turned round. Light can be seen through the tunnel, as the train chugga chugga chugs.
The other day my children were getting the better of me. It began like any other day. Yes it was tiring. Yes I felt like I’d just got onto the merry-go-round from the first few moments when I woke up.
I was dealing with my 2 year old’s nappy. Later on, when we’d run out of milk I realised one of us would have to try to brave the social-distancing compliant shops. And even later I juggled devices between children. Of course, I had to ensure Zoom meetings were attended on time too.
But that’s normal, right? We’re in lockdown 2020. And this is our new normal. Yes, I thought I was getting through. I was coping- I thought this relentless rigmorole wasn’t getting to me.
My husband works for the NHS so I’m on my own constantly looking after our brood of five. I was OK, until I sat…
